Volvo Ocean Race – Cochin StopOver!

The Volvo Ocean Race for the first time has selected Cochin, India as a stopover for their global ocean race. I was able to visit the location and grab a few snaps of the race village and the various boat and amusements setup for the event. The facilities for the guests who arrived and the general public was really good and the whole event has a international feel to it. A few entertainment rides like the volvo ocean race simulation and sailing simulators and a shopping area all contributed to the race village.

The entry to the village is free, and the security is also very tight. The whole area is a No Smoking area and lighters, matchboxes, racksacks are not allowed into the venue.
