MAD is a youth volunteer organisation that provides quality education, specifically, communicative English, computer skills, career awareness and life skills to children from underprivileged backgrounds.
It was founded in 2006 by a few enthusiastic college-goers, committed to a good cause. Today, the idea has caught on and evolved into a youth revolution. With MAD chapters spread across 19 cities, 900 volunteers work to make a difference in the lives of 2000 children nationwide. Equipped with different levels of the Cambridge syllabus and training from the British Council, MAD aims to bridge inequality through education. The once touted pipe dream is no longer what it was. It is an effervescent reality.
What makes MAD exclusive? Its inclusivity. College students, working professionals and happy homemakers come together not because they have the time, but rather the heart. The more different your skill set, the more welcome you are into the fold. Nobody leaves MAD the same way they walked into it. If you’ve always wanted to make a difference and don’t know how, here’s how. Log onto makeadiff.in or sms IMAD [Name],[email address], COCHN to 9220092200 and register. Last date for registration is 30th June 2012. You will be better off for having stepped up to make a difference.
MAD is calling, where are you?
