As a part of the transportation development in the city, bus service has started for places between Thevara and Angamaly in the Vallarpadam container terminal road. The service has started from 31st may, yesterday. The flag off was done by the transportation minister V.S. Sivakumar. The bus service will be from 6.15 am to 9.15 pm and K.S.R.T.C. buses will run through the routes. In the beginning two low floor AC buses and two Thirukochi ordinary buses will start the service as said by the district collector. The low floor buses give 16 services in the both directions and the Thirukochi buses will give 17 services.
Though the distance through this route is about 2 km more when compared to the Palarivattom-Edappally-Aluva route, one can save a time of 20 minutes when not stuck in the city traffic and traveling through this route. There will be bus services every half an hour as for now and this will improve once the services are set. By this service, the traffic congestion in the North, Palarivattom, Edappally area will be reduced which will be a great relief to the citizens as a lot of time is being wasted being stuck in the block in this route.
As the N.H.A.I. road work is still going on the needs to be completed, bus services will be starting in the Vypeen area soon which ensures a better transportation facility for the people of Vypeen also. Do you think anything more is needed to be done???
