Islamic banking was expected to launch its first banking venture in the country in Mumbai and Cochin this year according to the meetings held by Kerala state industrial development corporation last year. Since then it has only been in papers about the launch of Islamic banking in India. As a part of promoting Islamic banking in India people behind the venture are planning to organize a 3 day seminar at Cochin from October 4 to 6 .The seminars will be on the prospects of introducing Islamic finance in India. The seminar will be open to all the supporters of Islamic banking.

This will be seminar against all those who oppose the Islamic banking because of religious reasons. Islamic banking has been working in most parts of the world including major European countries. Many non-Muslim countries such as the UK, US, Singapore, France and Australia are competing with one another to become Islamic finance hubs.
