The piling work of this building is expected  to be completed within a month, Infopark sources said. The initial earth works for the internal road for the second phase is under way. The full-fledged road is expected to be ready by this September or October. The phased installation of power connectivity is also progressing. Power lines are being drawn ahead of the drawing of the 11 kv lines.

When the work of second phase gets completed by July 2013, it is expected to generate around  80,000 jobs. The entire second phase of Infopark will be developed in three phases. Initially, BPO Complex, software development block and a convention centre would be set up at an estimated cost of Rs. 200 crore.

It is expected that around Rs. 200 crore and Rs. 75 crore is to be invested in basic infrastructure and core infrastructure respectively.  After completion this building  would provide a built-up space of 8 million sq.ft. This would take the total built-up space provided by Infopark to about 15 million sq.ft. taking into account the combined space provided by the IT parks at Koratty, Cherthala, and Ambalapuzha as well.
