Hindi Serials shot in Kerala on Location?

A friend of mine from Delhi whom I have never met (thank you orkut) suddenly had an increased interest about Kerala. I was wondering why until she recently explained why. She is a avid viewer of those boring soap operas of saas’es and bahu’s. A particular serial that goes by the name Bidhai (god knows what that means) has been airing shows shot from the Kerala. I was of the impression that serials were those low budget production shows where most of the shoots are done indoors and in film sets. Will anyone in their right senses come to Kerala to shoot a few episodes of a serial?

It got me intrigued, upon a quick YouTube search, I was able to find these videos.

And upon further investigation, it seems that bidhaai is the most popular rated TV shows in the country. That is an honour to have the cast of a boring soap opera in Kerala shooting a hindi serial. I had a look at the cast and they are kinda beautiful too :D Wonder if they are still in town!!!
