The first phase of golf course in Cochin on its final stage of development! golf

Cochin International Airport Ltd (CIAL), the first green field airport, is in the final stage of development of the first phase of its Golf and Country Club project. By the end this year, the first phase of 18-hole course will be completed. This will be a major attraction for tourists and golf enthusiasts, spreading 130 acres of undulating ground and water bodies. Its just 30 minutes drive from Kochi. It will be an international tourist destination attracting golfers from across the globe.

The 18-hole course featuring well designed green and fairways, taking up white sand bunkers, dramatic water hazards and natural foliage,  is designed to give an enjoyable and challenging golfing experience to beginners, regulars and champions at affordable price. There will be a restaurant and bar, card rooms, conference-cum-party halls, pro shops, bowling green and hall of fame. Apart from this, there will be a clubhouse offering facilities to golfers and non-golfers as well. By 2013, work on swimming pool, indoor games and health club will begin.

Cochin International Airport Ltd (CIAL) is now offering an early bird membership scheme for the first 200 members. Applications for the same are invited from individuals and corporates. The membership fee for individuals is Rs 2,00,000 plus tax and for corporates Rs 6,00,000 plus tax. The total number of members is restricted to 900. A brochure along with application forms for both individuals and corporates are placed in the CIAL news column on their official website www.cochin-airport.in. So golfers why waiting! Step forward and join the club.

    Dear Joyce, If you are just starting please buy USED irons.
    Taylormade, Ping, Mizuno, Callaway or Cleveland are all OK.
    Don’t be tempted to buy woods. Other temptation is to go for an expensive putter. Please hold on. It takes some time to start accelerating on the putter. Till than manage with used irons.
