Fortis Healthcare (India) has announced the launch of four hospitals as part of its plan to strengthen its presence across the country. This announcement fulfils the ’10 in 10’ commitment made by the company on its 10th anniversary. Fortis has now announced 10 hospitals in 10 weeks, taking its bed capacity to 10270 beds. Fortis will soon setup new hospital at Kochi. Fortis will mark its entry to Kerala with a 45 bed boutique in Kochi which will offer quality healthcare for women under the ‘Fortis La Femme’ brand.

The main intension behind the launch of these many hospitals is to strengthen the Fortis network in India so as to access to quality healthcare while maintaining affordability for local communities. One strong reason behind their expansion is the fact that India is lagging behind in number of hospitals when compared with the number of patient’s requirement.
