Cochin is all set to become the next electronic city, just like the one in Bangalore. The first ever electronic park in the state is expected to be set up at Ampallor panchayath near piravom . The electronic city, if it becomes reality will create about one lakh job opportunities both directly and indirectly.

Soon, around 340 acres of land will be acquired by the Kerala state Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) .The whole process requires an investment of 7000 Crores and the first phase of the process , the land acquisition has already begun and 250 crore rupees is allocated for this by the state government .

Major electronics companies manufacturing TV, refrigerator, washing machine, computer and other electronic gadgets are expected to set up offices at the proposed electronic Park.

Hope this won’t end up like smart city . Please add your comments and opinions in the commenting section below.

Not so surprised by the new project, as we have seen so many multi crore projects which would have hit our city of cochin. Like food city, fashion city, smart city, metro rail etc etc. All these projects will be there only in papers.
We lack of strong leaders, Not only for the city of cochin but for the whole of kerala.
All these projects are only a political game of filthy politicizations, to make benefit of it.
Kerala need another 50 yrs to boom into the national level.
