Listen Parents! Summer camp for the children has just started at Lulu Mall, Edappally with a magic work shop by magician Aladin on 8th April 2013.  Summer vacation is the time to learn new things and develop the skills that contribute to your kid’s overall development.

Magicians Aladin and the Lady, the well established magicians duo in Cochin leading the work shop. The magic work shop will be followed by a jugging workshop by Nicy Hasan.  Mug painting, balloon sculptor, mug painting, miming and health and hygiene workshop will be followed in coming days.

It is that time of the year again when a new queen of the Southern Peninsula will be crowned. This year, the grand finale of the Manappuram Miss South India 2013 will be held on the 9^th of January at the Lulu Convention Centre. The popular pageant is running into its 10^th edition.  And like previous years, this year too the pageant celebrates the talent and freedom of expression of the women of India. This edition of the pageant will bring together some of the most talented young woman in South India who represent the Women of tomorrow, balanced with the right mix of traditional and modern ethos.

The Miss South India 2013 is sponsored by Manappuram Finance Limited, a leading and trusted name in Gold based credit. The event is conceived and executed by Pegasus Event Makers. Pegasus was established in the year 2000 and since then has been conceiving and organizing several successful events. The Miss South India pageant was initially conceived in 2002 and has been successfully organised every year since then.

This year 16 beautiful and talented young women from 4 states have made the final cut and will grace the ramp for the grand finale. The finale of the pageant is slated to be a 3 and a half hour extravaganza with cultural entertainment programmes and the final three rounds to crown the winner of Manappuram Miss South India of 2013. The grand finale event will be directed by Ajith Ravi Pegasus.

The grand finale includes the three rounds – the designer saree round, Gown and Black & black. The event has a distinguished panel of judges, successful men and women from different parts of the showbiz industry. The Event would be judged by Miss World 1^st runner up Ms. Parvathy Omanakuttan, South Indian Actor Mr. Babu Antony and Actress Ranjini (Chithram fame), Famous Tollywood Actress Ms. Nikitha Narayan, Famous Mollywood Actress Ms. Aishwarya Devan, Famous NRI fashion designer Mr. Sajimon Parayil and Media Personality Mrs. Toshma Biju.

The winners will be getting a gold plated crown designed by Mr. & Mrs. Prakashan Parakkat. The title winner will win 1 Lakh rupees sponsored by Manappuram Group, the first runner up with Rs.50, 000/- sponsored by Riti Jewellery and second runner up with Rs.25, 000/- sponsored by MAcare. All the sub title winners will be given with gifts.

Apart from the title winners, the other subtitles to win are Miss Beautiful Hair, Miss Beautiful Smile, Miss Beautiful Skin, Miss Beautiful Face, Miss Beautiful Eyes, Miss Congeniality, Miss Cat Walk, Miss Perfect 10, Miss Talented, Miss Viewer’s choice and Miss Photogenic.  The subtitles will be judged by a panel of expertise headed by Dr. Thomas Nechupadam.

As 2012 enters into its final few days, its time to usher in the New Year and send off 2012 and what better way to do than an all out New Year Bash. Tourecoz, an eco travelling company is organizing a New Year party at the Greenland Island Resort in Vaduthala on 31st December 2012.

The night promises to be a fun filled on with several popular music bands and dance groups slated to perform, entertain and enthrall. Some of the featured musical acts include Six Strings- a popular rock band from Cochin. The night also features music by DJ Rohan who is known for his skills on the turntable and Progressive house music.  There are several talented dance performers from reputed studios such as Daksha and Rising Stars.
