Kochi will get to witness India’s mot admired percussionist Sivamani along with many music maestros performing on October 3 at JTPAC. The show titled ‘Dhundhubhi’ will have Ramesh Narayan (hindustani vocalist), Stephen Devassy (keyboard), Ravi Chari (sitar), Satyajith Thalwaker (tabla) and Josy Johns (bass guitar). At the age of 11, Sivamani started his music career and touts S P Balasubrahmanyam as his godfather.


Siva Mani has a music band under the name ‘Asia Electrik’ with Nilathri Kumar, Louiz Banks and Ravi Chari. He has also played drums for many Indian films including Roja, Rang De Basanti, Taal, Lagaan, Dil Se, Guru, and Kabul Express, some of the notable songs being ‘Kadhal rojave’, ‘Pudhu vellai malai’ and ‘Chaiya chaiya’.   Siva is widely recognized as one of India’s best drummers. Kochiites will get to see Sivamani on stage next week.
