Common Wealth train To reach Cochin on Saturday
The Common wealth games exhibition train will reach Cochin on Saturday. The train will reach Ernak
ulam south railways station and will be open to the public from 10 am to 8 pm. The exhibition will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The train will have 11 coaches – five of which feature rare Commonwealth memorabilia and six devoted to showcasing Information Technology.
The exhibition will demonstrate the strides made by the country in the areas of ICT, e-governance, infrastructure and technology initiatives relevant to rural India, language interfacing technology, etc.The exhibition is being organised by the Department of Information Technology of the Government of India in association with its various arms and prominent IT/ITES bigwigs.
The train which was flagged off from New Delhi on June 24, 2010, will reach the national capital on October 2, 2010, after its 101day journey across the country.
