Citizen Josh’ to be staged at JTPAC, Cochin
Josh Kornbluth’s comic one man show ‘Citizen Josh’ to be held at JTpac auditorium on August 16. The monologist who has written the play says that Citizen Josh is about democracy, or in particular a passive person’s serendipitous journey into political activism. The story is all about passion packaged with comedy of a man abandoning passivity and becoming a responsible citizen by plunging into real political activities. It is a 90-minute play.
The show has received critical acclaim in U.S. Now it’s on a six-city tour of India. The show has a little Indian touch for the local audiences and has the protagonist reflect on the contentious 2004 US presidential election which, many people believe, George Bush and the Republican Party had `stolen.’ It will head for Kochi after going onstage at Chennai on August 14.
