CIAL Academy launched @ Nedumbassery, Kochi

Cochin International Airport Ltd has stepped into the field of management education, thereby creating history in airport operations management. Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan inaugurated CIAL Academy at Nedumbassery, 3.30 p.m. here on Friday. CIAL, the first ‘greenfield’ airport developed in the country under pubic-private participation, has set a model by venturing into the education sector.

The academy has admitted 60 students for its MBA programme, 40 students for the advanced diploma course and 90 students for various certified courses in the first batch. The academy offers MBA courses with specialization in Aviation Business Management, Aviation Operations Management, Human Resources and Finance and Marketing.

The advanced diploma courses will cover Airport Operations Management, Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting and Safety, Air Cargo Management, Security Management, Retail Management and Relationship Management and these courses are recognized under the Indira Gandhi National Open University(IGNOU). The academy is also offering certificate courses in Airport Ramp Handling, Rescue and Fire Fighting and Security and Intelligence and advanced diploma courses which will cover Airport Operations Management, Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting and Safety, Air Cargo Management, Security Management, Retail Management and Relationship Management. The courses have been designed to prepare the students for securing employment in aviation industry. The top-class facilities, the expertise of the CIAL management and the professionalism that matches international standards will prove highly beneficial for the students. So students looking forward to graduate and step into aviation industry, this is an option for you.
