Cochin is soon to witness the most colourful sky on January  as the the date for the 3^rd Kerala Kite Festival is announced by the Kite Life Foundation (KLF). So don’t get amused if you see a sky full of kites from January  21^st to 23^rd .The days for kite enthusiasts all over the state is out. This event will be held at Kuzhipally beach, Cherai. This event is organized by Kite Life Foundation (KLF) along with the District Tourism Promotion Council and Kerala Tourism. Like the second edition, this event will see competitions on kite making and kite flying but with a difference. This time the kite makers will be allowed to use  recycled materials as a go green initiative.  The 3^rd Kerala Kite Festival will be category oriented.

This time this event will focus  on the following  categories –

-           Best Largest Kite

-          Best Innovative Kite

-          Best Humanitarian Message Kite.

This event will commence from 11 am and conclude by 6 pm. Entries are invited on the competitions. The winners will be awarded with certificates and attractive prizes and also a membership in the Kerala Kite Club. Kochites,  Dr. Benny Prasad who holds the world record for ‘Most Travelled Musician’ performs in Amazing Grace Concert.  The year ending event is organized at Kerala Fine Arts Hall on December 30 and 31st.

Dr. Benny Prasad is one of the most talented and honored musician who has performed in 2007 Military World Games, 2006 FIFA World Cup and  2004 Olympic Games. He has travelled to more than 245 countries in 6 years, 6 months and 22 days from May 1, 2004 to Nov22, 2010 performing music. He also holds the Guinness record for ‘The Fastest time to visit 245 countries’. He is also well known for designing two guitars, The world’s  first Bongo Guitar and a  54 string guitar, the Bentar.

Various artists are performing with him on this concert. The entry is free for all.

Audi in association with JTPac presents “One Out of Six”, a hilarious comedy at the JTPac centre on 4th December 2011. It is regarded as one of the most hilarious plays written in the history of English Theatre. ‘One Out of Six’ is an adaptation by Karla Singh and produced by Raell Padamsee.

The play will see Cyrus Broacha and Bugs Bhargava in lead roles and personally, I would not recommend that you miss it at any cost!
