Biriyani is perhaps one of the most popular lunch menu items in Kerala these days. From being a humble rice cooked with some chicken, beef or mutton, this filling food preparation has come a long way.

With about 22 varieties of Biriyani, Hotel Elite Palazzo in Angamaly is hosting a “Biriyani Festival” starting today till the 22nd May 2011.

Arabian Kabsa, Thallappakattu, Awadhi, Sri Lankan and chutta chicken biriyani  are some of the varieties you can expect at the venue. The biriyani will be available from 12pm to 3pm in the noon and from 7pm to 10pm in the evening.

If you are a biriyani buff, then this should be where you should be having your lunch from for the next week!
