Another accident happened in Angamaly. By now everyone knows that it is a danger zone. The NH from St.Joseph high school to Morning star college is very dangerous. Lots of accidents have taken place there and several people have died. The most recent one being the one over the bridge built near TELK . Roads are built for the people, but in Angamaly it seems they are built  just to kill them. On the NH from Angamaly railway station to TELK the road sides are very steep. If a vehicle falls no one will escape. This is what happened to the KSRTC bus on 18th May. There is a greater possibility of loosing control at this part of the road.
In the light of this accident, which took lives of 3 people and injured 30 others, side walls should be built at this portion of NH. Humps should be there. Speed should be limited. The doors of KSRTC buses are causing more problems now a days. A permanent solution should be there in order to save lives of  the common man. There is another solution also. It is to straighten the curves (but for this will power is needed).
Declarations will not save lives. Knowing the fact that the area (ie,  from St.Joseph high school to Morning star college) is an accident zone strict steps should be taken to ensure safety. How many more should be killed to open the eyes of authorities.

  1. I hope the newly introduced lowbody buses to Angamaly do not use this stretch of road.

Although it is claimed that these buses are manned by specially selected drivers, the road condition remains same for them too. Our Road engineers should give a thought to the perennial problem.

  2. Security wall is the need of the hour
