Do you have the talent and confidence then here comes the platform for you to show case your talents. ‘Underground 2009 – The battle of the bands’, for high school and college bands! Now the youngsters in Kochi can try and win the title for the best band in South India. The Unwind Centre, a community centre focusing on developing artists and bands, is organizing this competition on September 12 at Manilal Hall, Rama Varma Club . The competition will be held in three different cities – Kochi, Bangalore and Chennai. The best band from all the three cities will come up for the grand finale to be held in Chennai. And the best band for South India will emerge from here.

Prizes will be given in two categories – acoustic metal and rock. There are prizes for the best vocalist (male and female), best guitarist, best acoustic guitarist, best own composition, best drummer, best keyboardist and best group and band. Winners from each city will take back gift vouchers, accessories and other goodies.

So guys and gals, what are you waiting for? Hurry up! Thirteen bands have already registered and its your turn now. You can download the application from www.unwindcenter.com and register. Then mail it to ug@unwindcenter.com or unwindcenter@gmail.com or call at 09551050831.

   wow….this seems similar to that rock competition we had in cochin a few years back …..a few kochi based bands even shot to fame with it. . ..forgot the name though.
